All Natural Homemade Peanut Butter

If you’ve not made it before, get ready to be amazed as it's not as difficult as you may think! It does take a little bit more effort than just buying it at a shop, but you know what? It’s soo worth it.

Top tip - When you’re blending and think it’s done... don’t stop and blend some more. This same recipe will also work for all nuts but the roasting time may vary.

Cook time: 20 mins
Total time: 50 mins
Yield: 20

Ingredients
2 cups peanuts, raw or roasted, skinless or skin on
 optional: pinch sea salt

Instructions
1

Preheat oven to 180˚C.

2

If raw peanuts, roast for 15 - 20 mins. (note: the longer you roast, the richer the nut butter but keep in mind if you overcook the nuts, it will have a bitter and burnt taste).

3

Let cool. If using skinless peanuts, skip to step 3. Otherwise, remove skin by placing peanuts in a tea towel and rub vigorously to loosen. Then separate peanuts from skin by using a colander or a draining spoon.

4

Transfer skinless peanuts to a blender and blend until you reach the right consistency. This can take a while so be patient. It may seem ready but don't be tricked, keep blending until it is quite runny. Optional, add sea salt and blend to mix through.
